Groups and Group folders for Group Administrators¶
Create a group and group members¶
In order to create a group, you should send an email to datamanagement@bsc.es. In the email, you should specify the name of the group and the users that should be in this group. Whenever you wish to add new members to this group you should ask to Data Management group through our email.
Manage files and folders permissions¶
As a group administrator by default you will have enabled the following sharing options for any file or folder.

If you need advanced permissions to allow or restrict permissions for a specific user or group within a group folder, you should ask to dataManagement to grant you advanced permissions. This is useful to manage: Read, Write, Create, Delete and Share specific files and set advanced permission rules as you can see in the following image.

Through these rules you will be able to deny, allow permissions for specific files or folders within a group folder.

It is essential to mention that any permission not explicity set in any folder, will inherit the permission from the parent folder. Additionally, the allow permission overwrite any deny permission. In general, if any folder above is blocking editing, all folders and files below cannot be edited by default, however, if you change permissions directly to any file then the file becomes editable.
Sharing folders and files¶
From your personal home, you can share a file with an external link (accessible without logging in), or with an internal link (only B2DROP users with the right permissions can access it)
Each link can be set up with different options, but only internal links allow recipients to edit (if onlyoffice is enabled). Please find below the steps to share a file:
