🚨 Setup Fileset Alerts¶
You can configure alerts to monitor the usage of your filesets. Two types of alerts are available:
- 📊 Fileset Usage Reports – Get periodic reports of fileset usage (daily, weekly, or monthly).
- ⚠️ Quota Warning Alerts – Get notified when a fileset surpasses a specific usage threshold.
🧭 Step-by-Step Guide¶
1. Log into DM-Hub¶
Access DM-Hub at:
- 🔒 For BSC users: https://datamanagement-hub.bsc.es
- 🌐 For external users: https://dm-hub.bsc.es

2. Open the Alerts Section¶
From the sidebar, click on Alerts to view and manage your configured alerts.

3. Click on Configure Alerts¶
Click the Configure Alerts button to start setting up a new alert.
4. Choose the Alert Type¶
Select the alert type you want to configure:
- FilesetDataUsageReport
- FilesetQuotaWarning

⚠️ Fileset Quota Warning¶
Use this form to get alerted when your fileset exceeds a specified quota threshold.
- Fileset to watch: e.g.,
my super fileset
- Alert type: FilesetQuotaWarning
- Description of the alert: Receive alerts when a fileset is approaching its quota limit.
- Quota threshold (%): Define the % of usage that triggers the alert.

5. Manage or Delete Alerts¶
Once configured, alerts will appear in the Alerts view. You can enable or disable them anytime.
