Login¶
To access the BSC DSW you have two different options:
- BSC authentication
- Local Account

Please follow this decision tree:
1) Are you a BSC employee?
- ✅ You must use SIR2 Authentication. No exceptions.
2) Are you a collaborator from a Spanish institution (but not a BSC employee)?
- ✅ You should also use SIR2 Authentication.
3) Are you a collaborator from outside Spain?
- You must create a DSW local account. The account can only be created by the BSC Data Management team.
SIR2¶
To authenticate via SIR2, follow these steps:
1) Go to the BSC DSW login page.
2) Select the BSC option (Figure 1)
3) Find “Barcelona Supercomputing Center” from the list of institutions and select it (you should be able to find it by typing BSC in the search box) and click "Acceder"

4) Enter your BSC account credentials (Username and Password).
5) Your account is now completed.

Local Account¶
Local accounts are intended exclusively for external collaborators (non-BSC employees). Account creation is not publicly available.
If you require a local account, please contact the Data Management team.
To process your request, the following conditions must be met:

The request must be formally submitted by a BSC employee.

The request must include:
- New user’s full name
- New user’s Institutional email address
- Purpose for accessing the service
- If the access is related to a European Project, please specify the project’s name.
Requests missing this information will not be processed.
Once the account is creation, you can login using these local credentials (Figure 1).
