B2DROP at BSC¶
B2DROP is a EUDAT service for sharing and storing files, based on the open-source platform Nextcloud. At the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), B2DROP is hosted locally and provided as a collaborative platform for sharing research data and documentation with internal and external partners.

Getting Started¶
Before using B2DROP, you need to request an account and configure your access:

Using B2DROP Effectively¶
Once your account is active, you can begin uploading and sharing files. Maximum upload size is 8GB. For larger files, use chunked uploads.

Guidelines for Responsible Use¶
The B2DROP.bsc.es service is intended to support research activities at BSC. Please ensure that your usage complies with the following principles:

⚠️ Do not store highly confidential or sensitive data, such as medical data, or any legally restricted content. B2DROP is an open and shared platform designed for collaborative use.

- ❌ Do not store or share illegal or clearly inappropriate content, including pirated media or software.
If you plan to automate data transfers (e.g. within jobs or pipelines), please inform the BSC Data Management team with the details. This helps avoid performance issues and ensures responsible usage of the shared infrastructure.
