📦 Update Group Folder Quota in B2Drop

Need more storage for your B2Drop group? This guide explains how to request an update to your group’s folder quota using DM-Hub. This petition allows you to increase (or decrease) the storage allocated to your B2Drop group.

🧭 Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log into DM-Hub

Go to the appropriate login page for your user type:

2. Navigate to "My Petitions"

After logging in, select My Petitions from the left-hand menu. Here you can:

  • See current and past petitions
  • Submit a new petition

3. Click on "Request a New Petition"

Switch to the Request a new petition tab to initiate a new request.

4. Select Petition Type: Update B2Drop Quota

Scroll to the B2Drop section and select:

  • 🗂️ Update B2Drop Quota

Click Continue.

5. Fill Out the Quota Update Form

You will now see the following form:

📝 Update Group Folder Quota

Complete the fields as described below:

  • 📛 Group Name *
    Enter the exact name of the group whose quota you want to update.
    Example: data management

  • 💾 Current Quota (GB)
    This field is informational and displays the current assigned quota.

  • 📈 New Quota (GB)
    Enter the new desired quota in     gigabytes (GB)*.
    Example: 12

  • 📝 Reason *
    Provide a clear explanation for why this quota change is needed.
    Example: Our team needs more storage for collaborative data analysis.

6. Submit the Petition

Click Submit to send your request.

📨 After submission: - You’ll receive a confirmation email - The Data Management team will review your request - You’ll receive a follow-up email with the approval or rejection outcome
